LOYAL presents the solo exhibition Kiss Me Kate by Katherine Berdhardt.

Katherine Bernhardt continues to keep the tradition of painting captivating. For her latest group of paintings, she turns her attention to portraits of the model Kate Moss. Having excavated through mountains of fashion magazines with their airbrushed accuracy and devotion to money, power and style, Bernhardt brings her obsessive enthusiasm to the canvas.

With confident and elegant brushwork , she transforms these images,  using her celebratory, celebrity awareness to coax out a deconstruction of the language of attraction and the decadence of consumption. Where Kate Moss usually acts as the ever willing model, in this case she acts more as the beautiful flower to which Katherine Bernhardt applies her sensual, dripping, wildly expressive paint.  With this show Loyal continues to introduce this young, international, post-pop art to Sweden.
